John has been practicing law in Indianapolis since 1989. John spent the first 19 years of practice with the firm of Locke Reynolds where over time he ascended to serve two stints on its management committee; five years on its compensation committee and several years as the manager of associates.
John's 23 years of practice have been spent in federal and state courts throughout the region representing the interests of businesses and individuals in a wide variety of litigation; and including damage claims for upwards of $60 million. John's experience includes prosecuting and defending claims involving the following: contract; fraud; D&O; professional negligence, including attorney, accountant, doctor and actuary; construction; trade secret and employment; product liability, including toxic tort; general negligence; and class action litigation. His experience on both sides of the aisle gives John a unique view of the advantages and pitfalls associated with any particular case, and helps him navigate clients through the labyrinth of our litigation system, always keeping the clients goals and interests at the forefront.

For 7 years John has contributed as the 7th Circuit Update Editor to The Business Suit, the publication of the DRI Business Litigation Committee.
John grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana, and now resides in Avon, Indiana with his wife and four children; where he enjoys playing with his kids and supporting their activities as well as following Notre Dame football.
